mostly you! polnareff featuring kakyoin, not the other way around
he'd look cute with different colored barrettes in his hair you know jotaro wears dark colors all the time and so does bruno but it looks so different on both of them? still they should wear colors more colors are so good
you still haven't told me why you tried that, you know, with the makeup, and you don't have to but you can. speaking of colors.
i need to start making clothes again . . . hmm an emerald-accented suit to go with the emerald barrettes right? i could probably finish that by september
[He likes the way Giorno phrases that. You don't have to, but you can-- casually slipped in between chatter, so he can take it or leave it without there being this big awkward pause. He doesn't know if that's deliberate, but he suspects it is.
It's still a little nervewracking to talk about. But he'd texted it to Giorno for a reason, so why back out now?]
well we were talking about it i mean a lot of stuff
["Rolf stuff", he almost says, but one crisis at a time.]
well anyway makeup came up too and he was talking about how it felt and i said "well, show me" so he did eyeliner isn't so bad i mean i dont think im gonna wear it but it was interesting
. . . you might have put too much on or maybe i just don't notice it anymore i like to be aware of how my mouth moves anyway, it's important in making sure my face is doing the right things
anyway it does make sense you never really thought about it so why look? i looked because i always looked at everyone all the time just in case that's why i got curious
[He finishes his errands-- which would take a lot less time if they just had money and he didn't have to do everyone a thousand favors just to get a bunch of nails, like, god, what is this, one of Kakyoin's video games?-- within an hour, as promised, and by then it's fairly late. Late enough that he takes care to be quiet as he deposits his stuff in his room and heads down to Giorno's.
It's become familiar, this routine. Not something he does every night-- but often enough that knocking and waiting at Giorno's door doesn't feel too different than doing it at Jotaro and Kakyoin's.
Which is good. Because it would be a lie to say he was entirely without apprehension; that he hadn't considered backing out with some excuse about exhaustion. But-- it's like with Jotaro. There's not going to be mockery; it's not as if Giorno's going to open the door and laugh in his face. And who knows? Maybe he'll just watch Giorno do it to himself, or let him talk about it. Nothing's set in stone.]
[Giorno has deliberately distracted himself during that hour. Not because he's anxious but because he knows Polnareff is. The less worked up he is, the less Polnareff will be; he knows that, at least in theory.]
[So when he opens the door, it's with a bright smile. He's not dressed for bed, but he's dressed down all the same (for him anyway, a t-shirt and ridiculously nice jeans, which is as dressed down as he gets).]
Well-- I don't know. In general, I guess? What's the difference?
[And he sits on the floor, settling in, legs crossed under him. This is a comfortable position; this is a position that says he's ready to stay here for at least another half-hour.]
[He bounces back a couple more steps and hauls a case down off his dresser. As far as being reassuring about masculinity goes, it's not shit, but on the plus side, it's got lots of drawers, okay. He sits down cross-legged across from Polnareff and rests his elbow on the case, chin in his hand.]
Usually I think people start with eyes. Foundation or eyes. But I sort of start where I feel like it. Whatever's going to be what I focus on most on any given day, that's what I start with, the rest is just details.
[He says it like he has any idea of what that means. He knows you can be dramatic with lips or eyes or whatever, and he's not stupid, he knows what focus means, but-- he has no idea what it means to focus on one area and let the rest be tame. But! That's what he's here to learn, or at least witness, so he nods encouragingly, like: go on.]

i mean i dont think im gonna wear it but
it was interesting
no subject
it's fun to just play with even if you don't wear it all the time
that's how i started, i was really just playing around with things
eyeliner can feel a little heavy before you get used to it, i think
so i don't use much
except when i do
lips are better
no subject
not heavier
stickier
i dont know i was more aware of lips then eyes
at least eyeliner isn't wet
no subject
or maybe i just don't notice it anymore
i like to be aware of how my mouth moves anyway, it's important in making sure my face is doing the right things
no subject
it could be either
neither of us knew what the hell we were doing
how often do you wear it?
lipstick or whatever i mean not makeup in general
[It's not that he's so blind that he doesn't see when Giorno wears makeup-- but he's looking at it in a whole new light.]
no subject
i don't usually wear foundation of anything like that because i don't need to
[#blessed #thanksaraki #statueofdavid #michelangelohmygod]
lips more often than eyes so. probably almost every day. i don't know i just wear it when i feel like wearing it?
no subject
i dont know i never really noticed but i dont usually
look
if that makes sense
its gotta be better than jotaro's though
no subject
he's trying his best
anyway it does make sense
you never really thought about it so why look?
i looked because i always looked at everyone all the time just in case
that's why i got curious

no subject

no subject
no subject
no subject

it evens out
no subject
i do have more colors

Buona sera, Papa. Do you want a snack?
no subject
Nah.
[He slips in, closing the door behind him. And being subtle or teasing around something has never been his style, so:]
So how does it start? When you know what you're doing, I mean.
no subject
[He steps a few feet back on his toes, still facing Polnareff, looking sort of thoughtful.]
For me? Or in general? [Because god forbid Giorno Giovanna follow a rule.]
no subject

Well . . . what did you do with Jotaro? I'll do something different so you're not seeing the same thing again.
