I was wooondering if you could give me a hand with some work? It's a two-person job, and I need some extra help. I mean, technically, I could get Cecil to help, but, y'know. I like hanging out with you. And stuff. Yeah.
[The Science Man™ is, for once, sitting on a stool at one of the few long tables. Also for once, he looks...well rested? Definitely a little more content than usual, anyways. He waves!!!]
Hi, Giorno! Good to see you.
[There are a few containers of some clear substance (water?) on the table in front of him, along with a couple nets and a tiny cage. Oh no.]
You look wonderful, too! I've been taking it easy the past couple days--getting some rest in, and all that. Just a real stay-cation, if you will. I'm on hour 6 of being awake, and it's really invigorating!
[He takes a long drink of coffee, holding a finger up to politely pause his speech.]
Funny you should ask, Giorno. I need you to help me catch some frogs.
[...A natural explanation does not seem to be coming.]
While I'm very opposed to animal testing on all fronts, this is different! Since it's spring now--yay--I figured I'd take the time to examine the life cycles of several different specieses of animals, including frogs! They're the easiest ones to track, because they start as tadpoles, and all.
Besides, field work is a great bonding activity! Really fun.
Of course, yes! It would be mean not to. I just have the cages for convenience of getting them back here for study. I miiiight keep some tadpoles, if we find any, but only until they grow a bit more! It's not an intrusive experiment at all.

I like hanging out with you too so I'll be right there. You need coffee, I bet. Do you?
no subject
...And, yeah, a coffee would be great. That's always great.

[Except it's actually fourteen and a half minutes when he busts in with a coffee and a bag full of pastries. He looks Delighted to Be Here.]
Carlos?

[Boy howdy is he just going to say Carlos's name about a million times today. He slides onto the stool next to him and passes over his coffee.]
You look really wonderful! So refreshed. Are you having a good day? What is the . . . cage . . . for . . .
[Carlos what is this.]

[This filters through while he's being thrilled that Carlos actually is getting sleep, holy shit. Unprecedented. But he's still mildly puzzled.]
What are the frogs for?

. . . And the bonding. [Which he looks pretty pleased about.]

So, are you in?

[A valuable skill for a mafia don, obviously.]

Alright! Um, usually they're just all down by the river--have you seen any? I know you're better with the outdoors than I am.
