No. Everything's been really terrible. But I talked with Kakyoin and I feel a little better about things.

Izabel told me about what happened. I'm not going to apologize for her because that's her job, but I want you to know at least that I clarified some things for her. She misunderstood what you were saying and got scared because of what happened to us in the mirrors. I didn't tell your business or Kakyoin's, just mine.

I told her I needed to know exactly what you said, because I believed that she'd misunderstood. She was too upset to tell me, or talk at all really, so she showed me the conversation instead.

I had said something to her about seeing a ghost before, and when she bothered me about it later, I didn't know what she was talking about. So I made her promise to ask me about it when I remembered, and to bug me until I told her, because I couldn't remember who could've died to cause that and it didn't feel right to have forgotten someone like that.

That's the background, of why she was asking that.

Yes. That's what I thought was probably going on. I don't know details, but I knew that you would have told me if something like what she was afraid of had actually happened.

It's not saying you know better than I do. It's saying that you perceive some things more clearly than I do, since you're looking in from the outside. It's the same as with Kakyoin - he sees me more clearly than I see myself when it comes to certain things, and vice versa.

It doesn't mean I don't want to know. But when you say it like that, I think you're right. There are things I carry that I shouldn't - or even that I don't have any right to.

When Abbacchio got here, and I told him what had happened to Bruno and Narancia, he was angry. I knew he was going to be angry and I told him deliberately so that he would be angry at me, not at Bruno. When he just kept getting angrier, I offered to meet him in person if that's what it would take to cool him off. He told me not to act like a martyr because I didn't have any right to. He was right, just like you're right.
