Anyone who wants to write a description of their character's room instead of/in addition to the above visuals, this is the place. It can be formatted any way you like. My comment (below) is one example, but like do what you want.
BASICS ★ Giorno Giovanna, the nymph in 1-B, always introduces himself using his Full Name and a trustworthy handshake. He has been in Ryslig since November 2020 and is 18 as of April 2022. He has several network handles, but only < harmonia > and < Kamuro_Hiring > are connected to his name. He hasn't told anyone the other handles, and he changes his typing style to match different handles. Unsurprisingly, he spends a lot of time monitoring the network, although he only rarely shares any of his own personal information online as he considers Elias to be Sus AF. He has taken over a number of businesses from Tsukikage after the arachne left, and he and Reira work together to manage the revenue stream that keeps Hill House afloat.
AROUND THE HOUSEHOLD ★ Giorno can reliably be found in the kitchen, in his room, or (most often) in the gardens, where he is usually under or near a small olive tree that he planted when he arrived. Sometimes he turns into vines and naps in the garden, only to jumpscare unsuspecting innocents when he wakes up and is people-shaped again. His cat Alder, approximately one year old, black and fluffy, and able to see Beyond the Veil if his constant wild expression is anything to go by, is usually found either riding Giorno's shoulder or on a branch of the aforementioned olive tree. Although he keeps his most valuable snacks in his room, he also drifts through the kitchen a lot, making sure people have eaten and helping with dinner when he can (he's not good enough to put a meal together himself, though). Vital note: he is BANNED from drinking coffee at night by order of Reira, although he will do everything in his power to skirt that rule if he thinks she won't find out.
ROOM ★ A confusing mashup of "weirdly bare" and "full of knick-knacks". There's nothing on the walls, because he frankly hasn't been introduced to the idea of hanging things on your walls, and his furniture is plain: blond wood desk, chair, bookshelf, bedside table, bed. The set reads Ikea. The bedspread, however, reads palatial, easily the most elaborate bit of the room. It's an amalgamation of deep forest greens, twisting into flowering vines at the edges; and everything matches, of course — but it's also the best threadcount one can buy. The bed is always neatly made. His most precious items live on his bedside table, and his very precious items live on the shelf, along with dozens of books, some fiction but most historical or related to the local wildlife. On his bedside table are two photos, one that features many Hill House residents in a very different place and one starring a pooka shooting double fingerguns. Beside the photos are a sleek black and gold binder, although it's rarely present when he's not at home; two books, one on the fauna of Ryslig and one, used but still sturdy, on the flora of Ryslig; and a coin purse shaped like a beetle. On his shelves are glittery ladybugs, gaudy brooches, a hideous frog pendant, and some other odds and ends. The most personality in here comes from the people who have given pieces of themselves to him.
SCHEDULE ★ Giorno is a workaholic, especially when he's stressed out and/or avoiding his problems. Last time he was mad, he bought an orphanage! So he's pretty busy. He isn't a morning person, but he is an early riser, so he stomps his diurnal butt into the kitchen for coffee promptly at Too Early and continues from there. His work schedule is flexible depending on what is needed where and when, but unless there is an actual emergency, he'll spend several hours each day at Persephone Orphanage ensuring everything is running smoothly. He tends to be there at times that Fugo is not, so one of them is present at all times during the day. He'll often spend time at the 38-8, since he's close to many people there, and once in a blue moon will stay over. He's persnickety about letting someone (usually Fugo) know if he's going to be late or not come home, however, and will be very unhappy if others don't do the same. He's also serious about spending at least a few hours with his housemates who are nocturnal before he goes to bed, especially the Italians™, who he checks on frequently throughout the day unless he and Trish are fighting again. When he falls asleep for the night, it's usually with a book on his face.
This is a stupid big house. If you want to add something it literally doesn't matter because there are ten thousand rooms. If you want to add something to your character's room, do that too. Drop a line here so everybody else knows about the cool new thing.
For dumping images you want added to the above post. Can be for any area, not just your character's room. I'll put it up as long as it's not potato quality or a dick pic. Fill out this guy:
After I've added the image, I'll screen the comment for organization's sake.
▶ a permanent or semi-permanent addition ▶ in a public area ▶ easily noticeable ▶ whole new room or description of an outside area ▶ hilarious or stupid
Additions to individual bedrooms can be added to descriptions here and/or in picture form here.
Please use this space for anything that will be happening in the palazzo or to a resident that might affect the space or other residents. This thread can be tracked in order to stay up to date on planned events. Ideally these kinds of changes or plots will be mentioned both here and in the palazzo discord channel, so please do your best to crosspost; the different formats have different benefits depending on how people prefer to track information.
Mention it here if:
▶ it's about a potential new character, so all players can greenlight ▶ it involves the death of a resident character ▶ it involves a resident character doing some wild shit that other resident characters might feel weird about, including but not limited to murder, intense god stuff, DRUGS . . . (no not that one) ▶ it involves destruction of the building or surrounding area ▶ it has potential large-scale or game-wide effects but may not be widely announced by the mod team ▶ it may cause SIGNIFICANT, PREDICTABLE FRICTION between residents due to particular characters' Issues™ (see below) ▶ you think maybe it's relevant to post here but you're not totally sure. won't hurt to go ahead and put it out there
If there's something coming up you want to brainstorm/problem-solve around or just make sure everyone knows about, fill out this guy:
Is your character fucked up in the head? Of course they are, it's Ryslig. For communication purposes, please respond using the form below and briefly describe characters' IC triggers. These can be referred back to during plotting and IC conflict and will hopefully be helpful.
Also, please don't respond to other people's comments so that they can edit them should something else come up for their character in the future. Thank you!
