and, perhaps, there's another, more complex part to it. he hadn't come to giorno with his thoughts about ALASTAIR and Zymandis. The people he'd picked to share his thoughts - his concerns (though had he done the sharing? or only the questioning?) had ended up yielding little more than a need to reassess. why hadn't he come to giorno first? giorno, who clearly understood?
but then again maybe that understanding was the reason. or maybe part of him is still trying to compete with giorno. maybe, maybe, maybe.
so the fact that giorno brings up, of his own violation, the exact thing that in other conversations had disappointed him so greatly is a breath of fresh air. getting close to giorno is definitely a mistake. but there are times it seems a rather attractive one.]
