[Hm. He twirls a lock of hair around his finger, trying to decide how to put this. It's not that he dislikes Fugo, really, and that's the trouble. He doesn't want to misrepresent him just because he doesn't trust him. So.]
There was a point in our journey when Bruno asked everyone who followed him, everyone in his gang, whether or not they wanted to stay with us when we took down Diavolo. He said it would be dangerous, and that if any of us wanted to stay behind he wouldn't hold it against us. But everyone went, except for Fugo.
Even before then, I didn't quite trust him. He was . . . volatile. He couldn't control his Stand. And once he left, I knew that if I was ever going to see him again, I would need to make sure he had developed strong resolve.
[He nods. It makes sense, like all of Giorno's reports do, methodical and precise. There's emotion there, but it doesn't overshadow the raw facts of the situation.]
Well. I'm glad, for your sake. And his, honestly. What was his Stand, that he couldn't control it?
I hope that I really can help him, in the future. We didn't spend much time together, but it's important to me, and it would be important to the people we lost along the way, too. He's meant to be part of Passione.
[Is that what they're called? Well, it fits, he supposes. And he'll follow Giorno's lead, but-- his nose wrinkles, which says what he thinks about that.]
When Jotaro and Kakyoin talked the first time, about everything, I brought them pudding as a reward. And I brought one for Star, too, in case it would make him feel left out if I didn't. I wasn't really thinking about it, I'm just used to the Pistols, you know? But he liked it after all.

Apparently at some point in the future he does.

It made a deadly flesh-eating virus. Which it shot at people. Whether Fugo wanted it to or not.

[FUGO IS A DISASTER, POLNAREFF. YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW.]

I'd still take Silver Chariot over that any day.

[What a good boy.]

[No ora oras, but on the other hand, no drooling. It works out.]

[How does Purple Haze not infect itself, is what he's wondering now.]

Can Gold Experience eat?
[Can any Stand eat, actually? He's going to be very disappointed he missed the pudding experiments.]
no subject
[BUT HE WANTS TO FEED EVERY STAND, THOUGH, SO.]
no subject
[That's an option?]

[He laughs a little.]

[He glances over at Gold Experience again. He's got a mouth, yeah, but--]
Does his mouth open? I've never seen Chariot's helmet raise.
AFTER A FRUITLESS GODDAMN SEARCH
[It's weird as shit to look at, but Giorno just shrugs.]
I'M SO SORRY
That's amazing! Ahh-- did you know Kakyoin's stand has a mouth? He gets really touchy if you don't know that.
I WILL PREVAIL SOMEDAY
[DUH, POLNAREFF. Duhnareff.]

[And, because it's Polnareff and not Jotaro or Kakyoin, it's a little more overtly aggravated than it might otherwise be. But not much.]
no subject
You don't like Hermit Purple?
no subject
[He curls his bangs around his finger, shrugs a little.]
I can't possibly like everyone.
no subject
Yeah, but-- I mean, it's Joseph. He's a great guy-- I'm sure he'd like you.
[After all, why wouldn't he?]
no subject
[It's noncommittal. He pulls a strand of hair to its full length, then lets it spring back.]
I don't know, I think our personalities would clash. And I have plenty of friends already anyway. I have you, that's enough for anyone.
