There was a point in our journey when Bruno asked everyone who followed him, everyone in his gang, whether or not they wanted to stay with us when we took down Diavolo. He said it would be dangerous, and that if any of us wanted to stay behind he wouldn't hold it against us. But everyone went, except for Fugo.
Even before then, I didn't quite trust him. He was . . . volatile. He couldn't control his Stand. And once he left, I knew that if I was ever going to see him again, I would need to make sure he had developed strong resolve.
