• Character worst fears/traumas? whew uh worst fears: being alone, being powerless, being harmed especially by someone bigger/stronger/more powerful than him, Mothers. Also Fathers, being unwanted, being responsible for harm to those he loves or unable to stop it from happening because obviously he is responsible for stopping every bad thing that has ever happened, food shortage, being seen/recognized as "haruno" or any aspect of his identity that he has not personally tailored for consumption, being lied to/manipulated, following in the footsteps of violent and cruel people (dio, diavolo, his stepfather), vulnerability in general (emotional or physical), harm to children especially the persephone kids. drug use/distribution/trafficking, child abuse (any), and unethical scientific experimentation on humans/medical torture are not fears but they are rage buttons that he also has fears about, so i think they are worth mentioning here. weapons and sex trafficking are not canonically mentioned as something giorno is aggressively against but araki is a weenie and i think they are in the mix as well because it would be dumb if they weren't.
worst traumas: his own child abuse and neglect + racism experienced as a child in italy, learning about his shitty vampire dad and all the awful things he did, watching bruno die and stapling his soul back to his body and then watching his body deteriorate and lose sight and touch and hearing and everything because you can't save people from being dead you walnut and then watching bruno die Again, watching narancia die in his body then reaching in to try to catch him before he booked it to deadtown and recognizing how fucking empty his body is, finding abbacchio's body, watching mista almost die like five times mista please, the process of realizing that he is being traumatized by these people dying because he cares about them and has maybe made a huge mistake putting them in harm's way, the thing where steve got vivisected, the thing where he had a vampire doppelganger that murdered him, the network thing with atem but realistically speaking nobody wants to fuck with that. putting it there icly just in case tho
